About the Buckingham Neighborhood Outreach Project

Working with volunteers from Colorado State University’s El Centro and the Poudre Heritage Alliance (PHA), we are gathering stories from residents living in the Buckingham neighborhood, located just northeast of Old Town, Fort Collins, an area with a rich history important to the City of Fort Collin’s story.

Project Goals:

  • Collect stories – audio, written & video – from families that have lived or are currently living in the historic Buckingham neighborhood
  • Create a “point of interest” along the Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area’s Heritage Trail
  • Use stories to inspire a future gateway/historical marker to be placed at/near Linden St.
