Poudre Pub Talk: Playing it Safe on the Poudre River @ Ramskeller | Fort Collins | Colorado | United States

As part of an on-going series, the Poudre Heritage Alliance presents monthly educational pub talks at local establishments throughout Northern Colorado. For the September 25th Pub Talk at Colorado State University’s Ramskeller Pub & Grub, we will be discussing our Play It Safe on the Poudre program, highlighting how CSU students and other members of the public can safely and sustainably recreate on the Poudre River. The Larimer County Dive Rescue Team will be in attendance to discuss river safety as well as rescue and recovery efforts during water related accidents.

The multi-pronged Play It Safe on the Poudre program raises awareness about approaches to recreating on the river in safe and sustainable ways, and helps to build the capacity of the Poudre Fire Authority and Larimer County rescue teams. The program  also calls attention to the history of in-river structures that represent hazards to recreation.

If you are interested in attending this Pub Talk, please RSVP via Facebook by clicking here.

The Poudre Heritage Alliance’s FREE Poudre Pub Talks series occurs regularly at locations across Northern Colorado, featuring guest speakers talking about a range of subjects related to “good water.” For the full Pub Talk calendar, go here.
