What do craft brewers, distillers, coffee roasters, and CALA have in common?
Good water! The Poudre Pub Talks are a recurring educational series that brings water experts to your favorite breweries, distilleries, cafés, and pubs where informal community conversations take place around this important natural resource.
Water makes life possible and is essential for economies to function. But, freshwater resources such as the Cache la Poudre River are in jeopardy due to growing demand, pollution, climate change and other factors. These pressures create profound risks for businesses and communities. We can’t possibly navigate a topic as large as this without some sense of perspective, and some help from the experts.
The pub talks are hosted by PHA and our community partners to bring experts in front of local citizens to share insights about all things “water.” Topics at our Pub Talks might include: from “grain to glass,” the significance of the state’s water history and water law, how wildfires and floods have impacted the river’s watershed, or watershed science and stream ecology.
