The Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area frequently has Volunteer Opportunities for individuals or groups. Volunteer positions vary, some requiring specific skills while others are rooted in a desire to give back to the community. Volunteering for the Heritage Area offers the opportunity to promote cultural and historic preservation, engage the community in our river corridor and inspire learning, conservation, and stewardship.

What kinds of volunteer opportunities are available?

     •  Represent the National Heritage Area at community events, guided tours, preservation site clean-up, and other activities.

     •  Participate and present at workshops, seminars, and educational events through Cache NHA and its partner organizations.

     •  Create professional documentation of Heritage Area history and resources.

What are the expectations of a heritage area volunteer? 

     •  A passion for the Cache la Poudre River and a desire to give back to the community.

     •  Participate in training.  

     •  Log volunteer hours. 

     •  Must be 18 years of age or older or have parent/guardian signed permission.
