Located within the Arapaho Bend Natural Area, near Fort Collins, Strauss Cabin is a great example of an early log structure. George Strauss built the cabin in 1864 and farmed the land around it, growing vegetables and raising cattle. The cabin was restored in 1997, only to burn down due to arson in 1999.

Directions
From the Arapaho Bend Natural Area park lot, proceed on the trail east and then turn left (north) to cross the bridge. Continue north along a dirt path to the remains of the cabin. Please obey all posted signs and do not disturb this historic area.
